Flechas de los Andes, the temptation of the new world

The adventure began two decades ago with the release of the very first 2004 vintage. Born of the entrepreneurial vision of Benjamin and Ariane de Rothschild, and that of Laurent Dassault, Flechas de Los Andes now celebrates 20 years of shared history in the heart of the prestigious Uco Valley.

At the turn of the new millennium, although few had dared to explore the region's vine-growing possibilities, a few visionaries had discerned strong potential. Among them were Laurent Dassault and Benjamin de Rothschild. Their decision to invest in untapped land led to the creation of Flechas de Los Andes, an estate that embodies boldness and innovative vision.

THE DAWN OF A NEW ERA
Twenty years on, the alliance between creativity and tradition has led to the emergence of innovative new winemaking methods such as foudres, barrels of different sizes and concrete eggs. Innovation has brought a more complex dimension to the wines, contributing to their richness and distinctive character. With 102 hectares of vineyards, Flechas de Los Andes selects the best grapes, mainly from Argentina's flagship grape variety, Malbec, as well as Cabernet Franc. Three emblematic wines are produced: Gran Malbec, Gran Cabernet Franc and Gran Corte.

THE JEWEL OF THE UCO VALLEY
Nestled at an altitude of 1100m at the foot of the Andes Mountains in Mendoza, the Bodega enjoys an exceptional setting. Located on a remarkable terroir, with a dry, temperate climate thanks to the altitude, the estate produces great wines in limited quantities. Under the direction of Ariane de Rothschild and Laurent Dassault, with the technical supervision of Pablo Richardi, Flechas de Los Andes brilliantly interprets the very essence of the Uco Valley terroir.

20 YEARS OF BOLDNESS, TRADITION AND INNOVATION
The vineyard is located in a high-altitude desert, characterized by a dry, sunny climate. These continental conditions offer an ideal environment for sustainable development. The viticultural practices adopted aim to establish a balance with the indigenous flora, eliminating the use of herbicides and favoring sustainable methods. Thanks in particular to its Malbec selections, the Bodega produces world-renowned wines that capture the singular identity of the high-altitude, typically continental terroir. Since 2023, Flechas de Los Andes has reinvented the art of entertaining by offering exclusive tours of its winery, in an exceptional setting. Visitors can immerse themselves in the history of the estate, revealing the meticulously orchestrated stages from vine to glass.

Over the past two decades, our commitment has focused on elegance, refinement and the daily improvement of the quality of our wines. Achieving this would not be possible without the passion, dedication and perseverance of every member of our team, whether in France or Argentina.
