The harvest at Clarke were completed on October 10th by the Cabernet Sauvignon. It took 1 month (the whites having started on September 9th) to get the 130ha in production this year. The harvests were complicated, but each of the 116 plots were harvested in perfect maturity, even under a sky that was sometimes heavy and rainy. The 2019 vintage will be serious, dense, and with great potential … it is in any case what our 46 full tanks tells.
At the Château des Laurets, the pick-up of the first Merlots have started on September 23rd under a warm and sunny climate. The weather then changed to a wetter weather, but it didn’t prevent the completion of the harvest that took place on October 5th. The 12 days of collection that are necessary for the 70 ha have allowed the winemakers to follow as closely as possible the perfect evolution of the parcel maturities. All the indices observed during the winemaking period suggest a remarkable vintage of homogeneity, fruity and balanced.
